- Answer: One must borrow
with great care, for needs only, with diminution in
lifestyle (especially when compared with your peers) and doing the
borrowing with a budget in hand, not just accepting what the
student aid office tells you that you should borrow. Typically, a
person with a restrained lifestyle can live on thousands less than
the lenders want them to borrow. If there are six or seven
thousand extra dollars around, you can be sure it will disappear
without you knowing where it went! The less you borrow, the lower
the barriers for Christian service, Christian giving and a
victorious Christian life.
