Project MedSend grant recipient in Kenya promotes health by distributing mosquito netting treated with insecticide.

Project MedSend’s Board is eager to promote whole person health care in collaboration with the Christian Health and Wholeness Network (CHAWN - to participate in CHAWN and to see what is being accomplished, go to www.healthwholeness.net).

In order to minister to the “whole person,” Christian healthcare professionals must go further than simply attending to the immediate physical needs of people. They must meet spiritual, emotional, and social and relational needs as well.

GOOD HEALTH IS NOT:

• Just curing disease—that is the result of BAD HEALTH
• Just the absence of disease

GOOD HEALTH IS:

• Food; Shelter; Joy in living; Peace; Rest; Leisure; Cleanliness; Health education, so that people can know what makes them sick; Access to curative care; A good neighborhood; Emotional stability; Self-esteem; dignity; the ability to earn a living….experiencing the abundant life (John 10:10).
